Appearances are everything here. The college cares about making things look good to get you here, but things aren't what they seem, so students leave. Retention is a major issue, and the online programs fund the traditional campus. Beware - really spend time exploring on your own in addition to the official tour. The academics are not as rigorous as I expected. The staff seem unhappy. Most people seem brainwashed. It's like living in a cult. Dancing was even banned until the late 90s. There is little to no social life at UC.
