Iona College

I only stayed at Iona because of the friends I made, and I had a local part-time job. If I were to do it over again, I never would have attended Iona College. Iona pretty much leaves their Graduates High and Dry. My parents paid way to much for Iona, and now I have loans I need to pay back, and Iona College wasn't worth the money or going into debt.

Iona's Career Services department wasn't that helpful, and it was under-staffed. Iona's tutoring department was disorganized and very poorly managed, and lacked structure.

To me, Iona really only cares about taking students money and filling dorm rooms and classrooms. Iona doesn't care about student satisfaction - it's more about quantity not providing a quality education and quality academic support services.

I agree with the other posters regarding Iona. I looked at this site because I am currently assisting my cousin, a high school student, with his college search, and I advised him, to don't even consider applying to Iona College.

Thanks for the information regarding Money Magazine's rankings, and US News and World Report's College rankings. I read the articles, and based on Iona's rankings, Iona needs to overhaul its current administrators, and start changing the academic culture - to start competing with local and regional colleges.

As an Alum, it is very sad that I can't recommend students to apply to Iona - but Iona's Academic programs and student support services are not worth the large tuition costs. Iona definitely didn't provide my parents or me with a good return on our money spent, and now, I have loans to pay off.
