The University of Waterloo is ranked as one of the best universities in Canada. However, this is a horrible place to be a student. The graduate students were miserable, depressed, overworked and very catty towards each other. Very hostile and unfriendly place for international students/members of minority ethnic group. There was discrimination from professors and students alike, plus lack of integration. My graduate degree was a waste of my time. I should use it to wipe my ass. People with post graduate certificates/diplomas from lesser institutions are better prepared for the job market… and tend to earn more. :-( Do not bother going to UW for your graduate studies. Go to a school that works for you.
