-The surrounding area is beautiful, but I wish they would actually take care of the achool. On main campus the older buildings are falling apart, no real effort to plant flowers, or even to take care of the grass where it will grow (besides mowing it).
  • The staff and faculty range from amazing to wanting to change your major so you don't have to deal with them. Not going to name the negative ones, but the best are: Dr. Stauffer (Russian), Vanden Eykel (Religion), and Fitzpatrick (English).
  • There aren't many places to live off campus, so you will probably be stuck in a dorm. The three most freshmen are in are Sue Wes, Riddick, and Chapman. All of these are pretty much falling apart. I was at Riddick, but it was too bad since I didn't have a roommate and there were only 3 other girls in the hall. The room itself though was aweful. No AC and no heat, ceiling was chipping due to water damage, mold, door didn't work, and every night I would have to kick the beams back in my bed because it was falling apart. I guess that's better than the guy who didn't have a bed.
  • The bathroom was worse though. We had a short makeshift stall with graffiti all over it. The sinks (and water fountains) had roaches.

Chapman was pretty bad too. I had friends that lived on the top floor so I would often go over. The stairs in and going up to Chapman need to be fixed bad. The ones outside are broken and the ones inside will pop out when you step on them.

Sue Wes is probably the best out of the 3, so hope you get there. The price of these dorms are overpriced for what you get. I transferred to another college and my "dorm" (actually its an apartment) is the same price. I get a room with another person and we get our own bathroom, walkin closet, kitchen (shared with 4 others), dining and living room. Also the building is only a few years old and has AC and heat controlled by each apartment.

  • Most students here are friendly, especially the guys, but in the girl halls there would always be drama it seemed like.
  • I really wanted to like this school, but I couldn't see myself here for the next 3 years. It is way overpriced and needs a facelift.
  • Forgot to mention, the registrar's office here is aweful and rude. They told me and others that transcripts would be sent out to other schools and places in 2 days since it takes one to process. 2 weeks later still not sent. So my friends and I go and ask what's up. Turns out they "lost" them…Yes, lost an important document that has our SS# on it. They missed my deadline and I lost a $600 scholarship that was going to pay for my books next semester.
