I received my Master's degree in Liberal Studies and Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning from TESC. My professors were very good and challenged me, some also taught at excellent universities. The classes were well structured and good for someone who is trying to get their Master's while working full-time.The readings were also well selected and enhanced the topics. The coursework is recommended for someone to reflect on their profession in a individual way because you can design a research project for your Cap-stone project that is based on a question or aspect that could help your career goals or something that is not addressed by conventional disciplines.

I had some difficulty with the technological aspects of taking online courses at first, which at times was very frustrating. But it got easier after taking several classes. For many people like myself, going to a college at night was not an option-since I was a single parent. I appreciated some of the discussions I had with classmates. Everyone was mature and gave good feedback in comments. Many of my classmates were active military service-members.

The degree of Liberal Studies is not one that really helped me get a better job (so far), but I feel that I gained a lot of knowledge and skills that have helped me in the position I was already in-Such as ethical values, and interpersonal aspects that I learned like conflict resolution. So I would recommend TESC for mid-level professionals who want to go back for a Master's for personal or professional reasons if you can afford it or are getting financial assistance. I also appreciate the fact that there is a school that fit my lifestyle, not everyone gets to start their Master's right after their first degree, so it was a good choice. Because the school is virtual though-there isn't much to offer Alumni such as networking or Career help so that is something that could be improved on. Maybe a actual Alumni library or some place we could meet for events. I enjoyed the graduation ceremony in Trenton; it was a proud day for myself and my family.
If you want to learn and you can't attend classes in person for whatever reason, this school could be what you are looking for. It could help you get on a better track in life. Good Luck!
