Roanoke College is a fantastic school with many opportunities. The school is absolutely gorgeous! The students are friendly and easy to talk to, as long as you're willing to get involved. GET INVOLVED. Most of the negative comments are because of those who are not willing to get involved on campus. Getting involved is one of the easiest things to do. Within the first few days of your arrival, there is an activities fair on the campus. Sign up for what you're interested! You get out of college what you put in.

Roanoke has great a social life whether you're interested in going to parties or not. Not only is it easy to find what parties are happening on the weekends, but you are also able to participate in weekend fun if you are not the party type. The Campus Activities Board typically puts on an event or two each weekend. Those events range from Rave theme dance parties to sitting down and listening to a comedian to Friday night Bingo (which is a huge deal on campus). Girl Code is even coming in December.

Academics at Roanoke are very competitive and difficult. Though in the end it's completely worth it. A's are rare but once you achieve one, it's the best feeling in the world knowing how hard you worked for it. The Professors are great and are always willing to help. Office hours are a great time to go and speak to your professor or you are even able to schedule a time with them if their hours don't work for you. Academics is why we are here in the first place, why not be challenged?
