The reviewer here is both right and wrong. Yes, unfortunately while I also was attending the school in 2016 they were in the process of changing the only-female bathrooms into gender-neutral bathrooms. Just to be a warning, these bathrooms not only contain stalls but also showers for students to bath in. That means both men wanting to be women, and non-transitioning men have access to these bathrooms that are occupied by girls. If that doesn't scream potential sexual assaults, who knows what else. The school also has a pole-dancing club were girls can swing around on a pole and, to top it off, a free three-night stay with visitors, who are mostly MALE boyfriends of said girls, coming in ontop of other girls in the dorms. This college is opening up an uncomfortable environment and a can of worms just for conformity of liberal thinking which, mainly results in, non-thinking and appealing to an idealogy that gives more access to weirdos than common sense. On the other hand, if there were females that have suffered traumatic experience (and I have seen student's with looks on their faces that speak this) then the Universities really can't help them other than the school's therapy offices, which I advise against. In a job environment there will be male workers and customers, and if an unfortunate experience is enough to traumatized or impact one's ability to work or function in life then they will have to undergo professional therapy and a support network. Colleges are mostly ill-equipped in these areas unless your transit, of course, upon which they will welcome you with open arms. I would also like to say, men transitioning to women and are indeed, still men, are doing so so they can captivate romantic feelings towards the same sex, as well as pretend role-play with their mutilated bodies that they are women. What the poster is probably unaware of is that there is a transisator spy with blonde hair that usually sits in the admission receptance of the college at the left door. I have seen this individual turn away students with legitimate medical conditions in favor of transits, which is both illegal and discrimatory. While the poster is also right about students, grown young adults 18 years of age and or older, they have to realize to that there's a specific audience thats being catered to along with out-dated out-takes. One, they are still requiring SAT scores from high-school when students have attended from previous colleges or have been in colleges for years. Second, the middle-schoolish pink bicycles outside each dorm look like they belong at a girl's scouts prep school, and not a college with maturing adults. There is also certainly a lot of FLUFF at the school, and when mentioned online anonymous as a review an RA who's name begans with the letter "C" accussed another student for it, which begs the question as to why RA are being given admin access to student accounts as those are the only way to identify what student is what. Mind you, the other student did not post using with their name, but with a pen-name.The only way that the other RA student would know is if they had access the student's account. This RA in particular also socially engineers with a student that was harassing the other student mentioned who was of a different nationality, and was also taking out books and literature the student was reading. If that doesn't say profiling, then who knows what doesn't. This RA was posting on a said site under the name "Bunny" but violated the anonymous of another student. So in other words, an RA STUDENT gets to determine what another student can do or cannot do online, violating privacy concerns and laws, while also posting freely on a politic thread. Not only is this a direct form of censorship, but the RA clearly needed to mind their own business, and stick to their job description instead of monitoring students activities online, which is not part of their job at any college. Universally, RA's jobs are to simply monitor the floor of students, remedy conflicts, and nothing more. One of their job description is NOT involved accessing student's online accounts to harass or accuse them of using such petty words as "Fluff". The RA in question was also very arrogant, and even their walking was pompous. These are not staff or even professionals, but students that can also carry bias and circle-friends as seen so many times with cases with online bullying. The college most defiantly has some issues over-all. Not only are there students over-stepping boundaries, but there are also problems of said students sneaking alcohol and pills on the campus were even other students were making remarks and joking about another student that was passed out in their dorm under alcohol influence. There are also cigaratte buckets literally arms away from buildings that can cause respitory problem for students who are allergic to nicotine since smoking students like to gather in these spots. The campus life scene itself is also very dry and there is nothing else for the students to do on the weekends or sometimes weekdays besides course-work. As another review mentioned, the parking space is terribly small and the classes can be crammed together, their also ontop of each other in the dorms and it can cause much of overlapping and ease-dropping issues mentioned above. While the campus may pride itself in being a socially "dry" college, this can also work against any college as it promotes a lack of social environment engagement. Then you get weirdo RA's that sit around in dorms monitoring other students online while they themselves are just immature students and sometimes can result in boundary pushing and showing off to circle-friends. |
Major: PreLaw and Legal (This Major's Salary over time)
Honestly, some of the professors are great. My advisor that I have now is amazing and always cares about how I'm doing. The advisor I had before I switched majors didn't care at all about what went on in my life. She was not personable at all. She just wanted me in and out of her office. My new advisor makes time for me. The counseling services got better this year with the new counselor. I wish the doctor was on campus more often. My issue is that more therapy animals are being allowed on campus. I came here in hopes of escaping my allergies and my physical health shouldn't be put in jeopardy just because of someone else's mental health needs. Also, Bay Path will start accepting men that are transitioning to females. That's messed up. Not that guys want to be girls but some women came here to avoid men because of traumatic experiences. But bay path is going to allow biological males here? Regardless if they are changing from men to women or not, if girls can be attracted to girls, men transitioning to women can be attracted to girls also. And what kind of message is this sending to men? Men will now think that they have to change themselves just to genuinely get a good undergraduate education. No one should feel that they have to change themselves. Personally, I don't care if people want to change themselves but at least make it fair to all sexes. Bay Path should remain a traditional WOMEN'S university. So if you're a woman looking to escape from men, do not go here. Because there won't be an escape.
