I wrote a previous review on here, but I decided to come back and write a much more thorough one. I have decided to leave City College for about 100,001 different reasons. It is a scam. It is a horrible, corrupt institution. Please, if you are thinking about signing up for this school! Don't! Just turn around and walk out! Stop answering their calls! And DON'T SIGN ANYTHING! I know that the admissions representatives promise you the world, but they are trained con-artist. And what they promise sounds like a dream come true that was custom made just for you, but it is all so they can get your hands on your financial aide.

The instructors are uneducated and practice unprofessionalism, and favoritism. The curriculum is nothing more than busy work, and Mosyby / elsevier power point print outs. Most of the student body are low-income, under-educated, single Mothers that jumped at the chance to make a better life for themselves, but are really being preyed on by these horrible human beings. If you were smart enough to be here doing some research - YOU ARE TOO SMART FOR CITY COLLEGE. The school is ACICS accredited, which means your degree won't transfer anywhere once you are done, and that fee that is taken out each semester? That goes towards paying the ACICS Board. Which means it is hush money, by any other name.

Don't believe me or the other horrible reviews? Then go google it. Nightline, ABC News, Huffington Post. They have all done specials on the corruption of non-profit schools just like City College.

I've seen post about how people plan on transferring to places like Kaplan or Phoenix, but it's the same deal there too!! DO NOT ENROLL IN A SCHOOL THAT ISN'T REGIONALLY ACCREDITED, THEY ARE ALL SCAMS!! They take advantage of low income people, using loop holes in the financial aide / pell grant system.

Do your research, and do it thoroughly.

I know Community College takes a little longer, it seems a little harder, and it may be less convenient - especially if you have kids. But it can be done. They also teach AS degrees, if a vocational is what you want to do. STAY AWAY FROM THE ACICS SYSTEM!!

responseCity College isn't the college it was back some years. The staff is friendly, student body is very knowledgeable and educated and the previous admissions team was all replaced with knowledgeable reps that are solely about the student and their needs. Oh I forgot the school changed its accrediation to ABHES. Once the President of the school got wind of how bad ACICS was they replaced them quickly. Your experience was probably a bad one and I'm sorry you feel that way. But just a note, all schools from K12 and above have some sort of bad reviews by those who didn't get what they want so they bad talk the campus'. I've worked for 4 schools and this school is a good one. It's private but what you get for the cost is priceless. So if you want to be fair, do YOUR homework.
