Do you still feel the same about your education with the MSW@USC program? I am currently applying and have read some horror stories about field placement. |
Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time)
I attend the MSW@USC virtual MSW program, which has been an extremely positive experience. Faculty are high quality, supportive, and easy to reach; the curriculum is rigorous and informative; and the technology is high quality and supported by 'round the clock phone support. The virtual field placement in the first semester is challenging and excellent preparation for on-ground placement. Every effort is made to find students field placements that are a good fit. Additional supportive services offered include online and by mail access to USC's tremendous library, tutoring and editing, counseling services, and an alumni mentor program. Principle problems with the program are its high cost and the over-emphasis on cognitive and behavioral interventions at the expense of other rigorously validated therapies such as psychodynamic therapy. Overall an excellent program. Highly recommended.
