I have been at Eastern for a semester so far and I have had a pretty decent experience. It definitely wasn't my first choice, considering I live ten minutes away from the campus, but I was still excited to go here.

Eastern's really not that bad of a school. People always complain its boring but theres literally 80 clubs that you can join so you don't have to be bored. On top of that, they have intermural sports and a bunch of community service options. If you join a few clubs, you can keep yourself busy.

Classes are easy though. If you just do your assignments then you'll get a good grade in the class. All of the professors I have had so far have been awesome. They really want to help you and make sure you're understanding the material.

It's in Willimantic and as someone who used to live in there when I was younger, it's not. that. bad. There's some cute places on Main Street and there's a movie theater down the road. Some students will literally be afraid to walk around Willi and make comments about it but don't let that phase ya. You can walk around Willi without people bothering you, no one cares that you're a college student.

It's a good state school, just get involved and you'll be fine.
