Major: Art & Design Department (This Major's Salary over time)
I have a feeling of regret and misery stab me every time I remember that I graduated from UAT. Spare yourself. It's quite an expensive waste these days too. After filling this out I realize UAT does have strengths, just in the wrong places (nice campus, etc).If you want to do game design/development - do game jams NOW (there are no excuses! twine, gamemaker, construct 2, unity, ue4 + youtube, manuals, etc) Join any/all local game development meetups and groups, frequent Gamasutra. You can do this while earning a degree from a reputable and transferable place. If you love your future self - save money by going to community college->transfer into reputable place route. Overpaying for unrelated topics stings. I imagine the same sting can be felt at even the most reputable place!Check accreditation (know about this thoroughly; they are not all the same), transferring credits, and portfolios and resumes of professors/graduates carefully. If you are smart, definitely don't sell yourself short by going or only applying here or similar money grabs.
