I graduated some time ago, but I went to both Oregon State and Oregon and found the curriculum to be identical for most undergraduate core classes. The big benefit to OSU was all of my undergraduate classes were taught by professors or associate professors. At Oregon most, if not all, were taught by GTFs (Graduate students), which was really lame. Especially in large concert-hall size classrooms. OSU had its share of large classes taught in auditoriums but fewer and the professor was not there just to complete his/her requirement for a graduate degree. They were there to teach. One of the biggest negatives to OSU is the nightlife. If you want to have fun, you have to drive to Portland or Eugene. In Corvallis, there is very little city night-life. This actually was good for me because it helped me focus on advancing myself academically. Eugene is amazing city if you want to have fun, but sucks for undergraduates. OSU was reasonably priced when I attended, but the costs have gone up substantially since. I would consider taking my core classes at PCC for the first 2 years and transferring in as a junior if I had to do it over again at these prices.
