Great, tight-knit community. Everyone is friend and says hi. Easy to make friends and to develop lots of friendships. The Climate Studies Program is very self-absorbed in the research it does (the professors at least) and it is hard for the professors to make enough time for their students. The professors can be very rigid and have to have things done a certain way. However, the community makes it worth it…great friends, great scenery (mountains and hikes only 5-15 min away if you like that kind of thing).
