Be prepared for a highly bureaucratic learning experience! The College sells students on the amenities of the city, since they are few and far between on campus. Most of the program is geared toward planning theory and research interests, but not on real world skills. Typically, these skills are assumed to have been learned at a previous job, internship, or undergraduate level. The GIS department is the greatest asset at the college by far; also taking courses outside of CUPPA, such as the Civil Engineering, or Public Administration departments is much more enjoyable and meaningful. However, the worst aspect was the university staff and students, who seem to enjoy putting down people instead of building them up. This is definetly not a team environment and is very cut-throat at times. The college has just hired a new Head, so I hope things change drastically.
