I wish I had this information before I started at Drake. I will be transferring out after my freshman year to start somewhere else from scratch. I doubt any of my first year classes will transfer. There have been several case of female students falsely accusing male students of unwanted advances. This usually happens after a relationship has ended against the female wishes. The university stance on this is to get rid of the male no matter the evidence. If you are a male I would not attend Drake unless you plan on always being in a group setting and having a girlfriend outside of Drake. Couple of other things to note: two sororities/frats are being investigated so they are not allowed to meet and incoming attendance fell to 767 for this year. Lack of greek interaction is not good for a small campus that relies heavily on these types of groups for social interaction. The president has mentioned that incoming attendance needs to be in the high 800's or low 900's for the university to be viable. If you know of any current students they should be able to provide more information around all of this.
