I went to Northwestern for one year. I completed two years of PSEO in high school and figured I would just go to Northwestern as I had enjoyed the classes that I had taken. I wish I would have looked at other colleges. I wish that the school did not make me feel like I had to go because I took PSEO classes there. In my one year of going there, I really did enjoy it. I made some wonderful friends and had good relationships with many of the faculty. There were a few things that made my experience poor. One is the fact that they were going to make me stay on campus until I was 21. They were also incredibly rude when I tried asking to find off campus housing. The second reason is their business department is incredibly lacking. They had a massive turnover of business professors and the new ones they brought in truly did not understand how to teach. If I am paying a fortune to go here I need a good education. The third reason is when I finally decided to transfer, they told me they did not want me. I had to have an exist meeting with a counselor who grilled me about why I was choosing to leave and did not like the answers I gave. In the end he told me if I did not want to stay they did not want me anyway. I ended up transferring to Bethel University. While I had some bad experiences here, I also had some wonderful ones also. I advise anyone looking at colleges to do their research and choose based on how they feel.
