This is our story and it still bothers me and I have not found a forum to express my opinion.

As a student at UCF my daughter was assaulted by a popular teacher's assistant, TA. During her search for justice from the UCF administration an astounding number of female students stated, on line that they had also been assaulted by this TA but were afraid to speak out due to my daughter's fruitless battle for justice. UCF legal office and Administration actively and intentionally failed to assist or support this valid complaint. My daughter filed charges with Orange County police dept. The TA confessed to the charges and was given misdemeanor charges and 6 months probation. My daughter was diagnosed with PTSD and unable to return to school to complete her degree. This assault was a Title 9 violation and UCF did not have a Title 9 liaison on campus at that time. They probably have one now. I would like UCF to pay our $24,000.00 student loan and reimburse for medical and counseling costs. Beware parents. This campus is the size of a small city, known for the active party scene and not well policed unless ticketing students for driving infractions.
