Brooklyn College was my dream school my senior year of high school and now that I've officially graduated this past May, I am a proud alumna. The campus is beautiful, amazing Caribbean food you can find in the Flatbush area, great and encouraging professors who are at the top of their fields and great, fun people.

The problem with a lot of people who view campus life as "dead" is that they expect people to come into their faces waving fliers and begging them to join their clubs. Sure, perhaps there should be more of that, but there are club fairs, events that are posted on the school's social media and we have a WHOLE student building where the events and activities happen! There's absolutely no excuse. I was a part of several clubs during my time here and I've come to know many people through that. This is a commuter school, so you have to step out there and find the fun; I guarantee you its there.

I never really had an issue with financial aid or bursar or scheduling or any of those things, though I have heard horror stories from friends. The best advice I can give is to stay on top of everything! I barely went to advisors during my time at BC—I chose to handle everything myself and I was able to graduate with no problem. Again: if you put your livelihood in the hands of strangers, what do you expect? Put the work in and you'll come out better than if you let someone else handle it.

I grew as a person in Brooklyn College, through the good times and bad. This place has opened me up as an individual and I'm proud to call this place my alma mater. I wouldn't choose to do my undergrad years at any other place.
