Major: Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc (This Major's Salary over time)
NCC is a community college, therefore it only has commuter students. It's mainly a school for people who work or want to get Associate degrees in order to get a job. Keep that in mind: it's not the same as a traditional four year school. That being said, it does have a lot to offer.Academics: It really depends on your major, but I've had really good experiences at NCC when it comes to my education. Teachers are honestly a hit or miss, but in the Arts department, it's been great. My advisor is great, and I love the classes the school offers.Social Scene: Not great. Like I said, it's a commuter school so the social scene is non-existent. Most kids work part time or just take 2 classes and leave. Nobody here is really trying to make friends, only taking classes to get to a different school. There are clubs but they aren't all that legit. Food: Terrible. Some advice to give you: bring your own lunch if you can. Or eat off campus. The food is basically McDonalds, "college style". Campus: Not fabulous but not terrible. The West Campus is a lot nicer than the East Campus since it has better facilities and classrooms. But all in all, the campus is average to below average (compared to other campuses I've seen).Financially: PERFECT. Seriously. Go to community college to get credits and THEN transfer to a four year school to save money! My tuition for last year was 3.5k while I have friends who are paying 35k. It's so much cheaper and smarter to take classes at an affordable price than to waste money on a school you'll end up leaving. All in all, NCC is perfect for anyone who needs a few extra credits or wants to go back to school and graduate with an Associate's Degree. I highly recommend it for first year students.
