I am an American citizen, but I spent most of my life oversees. When I came back to the US, I expected to hate it and felt like I was going to have to fight my way through life. TNU invited me in as family. Freshman year was a ton of fun, but their were times I felt lonely. But not for a lack of community. I simply missed home, as any college student does. But as I began to feel more comfortable at Trevecca over the past two years, the more it has felt like home. I now serve as an RA in the male apartments. I've fallen in love with the school because of its supportive community, the professors who care about you and challenge you to be open-minded and to succeed, and its vision for a better world by sending out leaders with the skills and passion to help a broken world. Trevecca gets a lot of hate because of its beliefs and strict rules. It is a Nazarene school that follows the Nazarene tradition. Its policies are there for many different reasons. If you're looking for a school to party and screw around, then DON'T COME HERE!! Only come here if you're ready to become a successful human being and are willing to follow and respect the rules put in place to protect and encourage you. If you're ready to do that, then you're gonna have a lot of fun! There's a lot to do on campus, and there's a lot to do off campus. It's not perfect, but I love Trevecca, and I hope you decide to come here, because it may change your life forever (for the better).
