Did you stay at MU or end up transferring? |

I'm in the exact same boat as you! Transferring to UW-Madison for the fall. This past school year was absolutely terrible. I'd love to be in contact with you if you're transferring to UW-Madison as well. We can share our triumphs and tribulations from this school year! Best of luck to you, wherever you end up! I hope that you find a university that fits for you! |
Lived near Marquette all my life and never had odor problems around or on campus. The reality, choices and seclusions you see take place on campus are a microcosmof everything all over the world. Try reading accounts of students in the east or south, Diasagree with much of this. The students from Chicago have a open attitude anjd opinion toward elected leadership. Just say Trump doesnt starve or beat those who dont take his veiws or choices on personal and governance decisions. Goodbye. will call. |
Some things for all and Marquette emploees towork on. Thank you for some help. |
I'm now a junior in college and regret making this post. After giving Marquette time and finding life-long friends sophomore year I can say I'm glad I didn't transfer. Marquette's nursing school is HARD, but it helped me persevere and become a better student and future nurse. GO MARQUETTE! |
Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I've only been in this school for a little over a month and I already know this is NOT the place for me. I was so happy to be accepted in to the nursing direct-admit program. I thought I was on the perfect track at the perfect school. The little time I've spent here is representative of what I'll be seeing for the rest of the year and its downright terrible. First off, almost all of the students here are from the rich suburbs of chicago, here on their parents money. The boys are extremely arrogant and usually vehemently support trump. And the girls are cliquey and stuck up! If you don't own wear Lulu leggings you're in the minority. I'm an extremely sociable person, having many friends in high school and am very outgoing. The girls I've met here are not genuine, pretty damn judgmental, and not very friendly. The party scene is SHIT..often have to go to uw-milwaukee to have a decently good time. I visited UW-Madison last weekend where a handful of my friends attend, and cried to my mom when I had to leave to go back to MU! I realized how terrible Marquette really is. It smells all the time, I have few teachers who actually care about what they're teaching, and the dorms and the dorm food are shit for what you're paying. If I could transfer tomorrow I would, but I have to spend a year in this hellhole. If you want a good social life with genuine, good people… don't go here.
