Parsons is both awful and helpful. Don't expect to go there and party and have fun, or even be happy. You will fail if you go out often. I'm an extremely optimistic person and as a senior at this school I've become depressed, anxious and miserable. There's a reason the social workers are always booked. I've spent every waking moment working on my senior thesis or working at my internship. Some of the professors are also much better than others and the school has really cut back on necessary technical skills in favor of conceptual bullshit. The name looks great on a resume and in combination with internships it's a great way to get a job in fashion but it will be the worst 4 years of your life. My advice, save your money and go to FIT. You'll still go crazy as anyone in a good fashion school will but you'll save some money and learn more technical skills that you need.
