Texas State is one of the best schools in the state. Ignore the "party rep." That's from the 70s/80s. Some advice: you will THRIVE at Texas State if you break out of your shell and meet others. The community (professors, students, staff) at Texas State is incredible and wants you to succeed. There are so many resources that some people never use (writing center, SLAC lab, free therapy, Witliff Collections, etc.) USE THE RESOURCES. They're built into the cost of tuition. Go to the square. Go to the river. Study hard. College has been the best 4 years of my life.
