Don't even bother applying unless you are one of them: i.e. trustfund holder or you have a spouse or partner who's a hardworking individual who can support you and who makes a lot of money. The draw of Colubia's MFA program is getting to hang out with the once famous, semi-famous, and occasionally, the actually famous in the art world. The students are dicks and not particularly talented. Its a very competitive and backbiting environment. If you are comfortable and good at slandering someone behind their back you'll fit right in. Professors only care about their own art careers and look for the wealthy students who can help further their own agenda.
