This is not a "public" university. They will nickle-and-dime you the entire time you are in attendance. I am a full-time graduate student AND full-time employee for the university. I just went to the health center, where I was told that because I am both (not just a student) they need to charge me a $200 fee. One of my work benefits is having student fees paid for. They don't actually pay, they remove it from your bill and charge you when you actually use the service. The Rec. center also claims that I am not a full-time student, and suggested I purchase a pass. Called the registrar, finance office, and ID card office, who all said my FT status was good. My program has a study abroad portion, and we are charged >$1000 for an "instructor fee" even though only a few of us travel with a faculty member. Not to mention, you can't park for more than 2 hours within a 5-block radius of campus. This is horrible for low-income students who have to bike or walk in snow storms because they can't afford the $1000 on-campus parking pass. Would not recommend this university to anyone.
