I've only encountered 1 non-Catholic who has ever heard of Christendom College, and they hadn't heard good things.

I got into grad school on the merits of my recommendation letters, GRE score, and application, not through the college's reputation.

If you're looking to work in Catholic schools, go to a cheaper place than Christendom. If you're looking to work in public/non-Catholic schools, go to a school with a legit education program.

If you're thinking of grad school, you'll need to know how to research before you start Christendom, because the professors assume you know how to research, and if you don't you're going to have a hard time surviving grad school.

If you're looking for a MRS. degree, there are cheaper ways to get it than 25,000 a year.

If you're looking to learn the Faith, you'll learn a very particular version here that is heavy on the legalist aspects and very light on the Catholic social teaching aspect (as in, how to live as a Catholic in society).

There's not a lot to do besides the few sports, movies, and swing dances. The food's gotten a bit better over the years.

Security-wise, they finally have locks on the dorms that require ID cards to open so that now only those living in the dorm can access the dorm (in theory). There's not much in the way of traditional security (police call boxes, regular visible security presence, easy and confidential ways to report rape/assault/violence/other safety concerns).

The quality of the older dorms are definitely lacking. By which I mean you'll likely encounter original carpet, original plumbing, and mold).

A lot of the Christendom experience is about appearances. If you don't care about keeping up appearances, or you care more about being a good and virtuous human that respects the dignity of all humans, male and female, born and unborn, there are better colleges out there than this one. It looks pretty, but there's a good deal of rot hiding behind the pretty brick and fountains. Especially behind St. Lawrence when the wind blows the right direction.
