Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
Ever since expanding the Nursing School from 100-200 student per BSN class, it has been an absolute DISASTER. Faculty is stretched too thin, essential classes were cut (senior capstone that provides highly valued experience in a field you want to work in), and students generally feel discouraged and worthless under the instruction of our professors. There is a huge inferiority complex amongst faculty, and lectureres frequently diss doctors to prove worthless points. If you want to be a doctor, go to med school. Purdue nursing is a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I feel trapped in this profession as a senior, and will do everything I can to switch careers in the future if this is how all "professional" nurses act. Ask anyone from the class of 2019, and they will all say the same thing. Save your money. Go to IU.
