Hillsdale College is preoccupied with fund raising and political and religious prostelytzing.

The students have been prioritized to the back since the late 1970's .

Whereas once the dale had some measure of influence in the business world, it now seems to be a red flag for employers.

The school is not held in esteem by alumni, quite the contrary. We mourn the passing of what once was a unique school that truly encouraged free thinking.

Hillsdale is "preoccupied" with fundraising because they are a truly private college and don't take money from the feds. They need money, and they get it mostly from alumni who hold the college in high esteem. A degree from Hillsdale only signals positive qualities to potential employers. It tells them you are smart. Hillsdale is still unique and hasn't changed how they encourage students to think.
