Date: Apr 11 2019 Major: Unknown (This Major's Salary over time) Graduated in 1962. That is why the pay was only $4600 per year ( then). Many recent graduates earn $60,000 a year plus. Being a PIA graduate ( and previous military experience ) completely prepare me for the job at a Major Airline. I was a straight A student while also working a machinist job and had a wife and two children ( age 24 ) while attending PIA, Later received Distinguished Alumnus Award. PIA graduates were respected at the airline where I worked. Promotions came regularly. Other unhappy graduates complain about having to learn aircraft repair techniques that are ancient. The FAA requires this for Certification. At age 80 I now head up a youth Aviation Program that uses the very skills I learned in 1963 to restore 70 year old aircraft. PIA still has a great reputation. Hard work on the part of the student yields great results! I would be glad to go back - just too old!
