Major: Social Work (This Major's Salary over time)
UA's MSW program is convenient if someone works full-time and wants to get an advanced degree done quickly and at an affordable price. Problems include: 1) sub-par instruction (be prepared for adjunct instructors who may/may not be available to students; give little to no feedback on assignments or even respond to their e-mails) and 2) administrators who rarely advocate for students. Because of limited staffing, it's not uncommon to have the same teachers for multiple courses and who also serve as field liaisons or even field supervisors. Conflicts of interest can arise, which the administration acknowledges, but does nothing to fix. This is a program that excels at getting students in the door, but once there, leaves them to fend for themselves.
