If you don't get a full scholarship with a stipend, don't come. The tuition is insane—especially considering that you have to teach yourself pretty much everything. The labs require a ludicrous amount of work, but are only worth 2 credit hours. The math lab and IEEE are helpful with freshman and sophomore courses, but after that it is 100% you and your friends teaching each other and yourselves. You must teach yourself coding, PSpice, Matlab, etc. with practically no instruction. Grades will not be easily accessible or timely in most courses. Definitely try to find a better school, or at least one that is worth the tuition they charge. UTD is absolute trash.
