Excuse my french, but this school is a shit hole. Nobody I meet seems to enjoy their time here and I myself am leaving after only three semesters. Aside from the fact theres nothing to do on campus, it's not even worth attending for the academics. You WILL be disappointed with 75% of your professors; I can almost guarantee that you will have to hound them to speak with you. My academic advisor had no idea what she was doing, and even feed me wrong information on multiple occasions. Glenn Cummings is a self absorbed asshole that won't listen to the people who are funding his paycheck. Overall, its horrible; do not come here. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Good advice. I would add that the "Land, Sea and Space Grant" campus, the University of Orono (UMO, or should I say UM Zero) has been promoting themselves outside of Maine to attract more students. I hope it fails. They're the worst joke of institution of higher education imaginable. What do you need to get accepted? Three things: be able to walk, talk and have a pulse.
