Montgomery College can be a great option if you're looking to save money before going to a 4-year institution. Before you attend you must have a plan on how you'll get out. The advising and counseling here is atrocious. They can sometimes take several weeks to respond and provide little to no interest in actually advising you. You basically have to advise yourself and guide yourself through everything. So if you want to come make a plan of what courses you need and what grade you need in them to effectively transfer to whichever 4 year you want.

From my experience, the computer science program at Montgomery College is horrible. I have only had one professor that effectively taught me and contributed to my understanding. The rest of the professors seem to not give a shit and barely speak English. It is hard to understand them and most of the time they just read off slides and barely go in-depth into what you need to know. Avoid MC if you're studying Computer Science.
