Agnes Scott is meant for a very specific type of person. If you would die for the LGBTQ+ community, are a hardcore leftist, hate men, and don't have any real plans for the future, you are the type of person that might belong here. Even if you're a liberal who meets all crazy liberal requirements, prepare to be canceled anyways. The student body is SO toxic. Drama pages on instagram were made so that students could bully each other on the internet, everyone is constantly complaining about racism when no one is even doing anything racist, and no one wants to be there. I'm transferring because I hated it so much but you'll quickly learn that despite the competitiveness of Agnes Scott, no one is motivated or else everyone would be transferring like me. Get ready for all of your "friends" to constantly trauma dump and act quirky for attention. Everyone at Agnes Scott has family problems and/or mental illnesses and need therapists BAD but the wellness center could not care less about providing those services. The clubs suck, the food is so inconsistent and repetitive, the size of the student population affects how many classes are offered and when, and Decatur sucks because it's meant for people who have money. The SUMMIT program is also a total scam and is no better than the common core. Maybe I'm salty because I didn't get my first year study abroad trip but I hated taking LDR and doing SCALE, especially since those classes wouldn't transfer over to my new school. The dorms are god awful. First year dorms had black mold, Inman is falling apart, and main will probably be closed for construction forever, which means there's less housing. The administration doesn't care about its students and its nearly impossible to communicate with them. They pride themselves on being "#1 Most Innovative" but literally what does that even mean?? And who cares?? I wish I had more positive things to say about Agnes Scott but I honestly don't, which is why I'm leaving. The way they advertise themselves online is not at all what it's like in real life. Choose wisely.
