Date: Mar 22 2001 Major: Chemistry (This Major's Salary over time) Kalamazoo College was a truly outstanding institution of higher learning. Having served on a graduate school admissions committee for the last two years, I have come to appreciate this fact even more than was evident while I was a student. The faculty are outstanding, and absolutely committed to excellence in their teaching. The chemistry and biology departments in particular are very well equipped, both with research and laboratory facilities and with outstanding faculty. The generally small class sizes, the K academic plan (foreign study, career development, senior thesis project, etc.) and the highly competitive and intelligent peers one finds at Kalamazoo also demand and facilitate a considerable focus on improving one's academic performance, intellect and compassion.
