As with any university, it's up to you to go out and take advantage of the opportunities. If you sit around in your dorm room waiting for the world to come to you, you'll be sadly disappointed.

It was particular helpful to join a fraternity at CWRU, because most students at CWRU are study freaks. If you want to party and have a good time, living in the dorms is a bad choice.

However, I think the CWRU environment has its advantages as well. If you're not a very disciplined individual, CWRU does foster some pretty good habits if you join the right group(s).

I think Cleveland is awesome, except for the weather. If you don't have any fun living in Cleveland, it's your own fault. There's plenty to do if you take the time to find it. In fact, you don't even have to stray too far from campus to have a good time.

I'd recommend all college students join several extracurricular activities, and if you can't find one you like, start your own. It's not that hard to get money from Undergraduate Student Government (USG) to start a new club.
