The University of Mississippi a.k.a. Ole Miss is an excellent public university where most people will say hello to you on the street. Currently the university is in progress of renovating and constructing many new facilities from a new performing arts center, theater and music buildings. to the recent renovation of the 150+ year old Lyceum building. At Ole Miss, there is a lot to do to develop your mind, body, and spirit. For your mind there are several different majors and schools, from Law, Engineering, Accounting and Pharmacy to Forensic Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Geology and Biology to Political Science, English, Southern studies, and History. Moreover there is a lot of history on campus since we have our own Confederate War Cemetary. But if you want an "Ivy league" education without paying $10,000 per semester, professors with an "open door" policy, Southern traditions along with excellent grounds, facilities, faculty, staff, and students. then come to Ole Miss @ Oxford (disclaimeer= this information has come from a student, and does not represent the views of the University of Mississippi)
