I really wish people would stop saying this school is so depressing and whatnot. Honestly, if you can not find a party to go to, you simply are not trying. There are parties every single night, and if that fails, U of R is a short drive away, or even a walk (although I'll admit I wouldn't do it again). The girl/guy ratio is skewed anyway because about 30% of the guys want to stay in their room and play video games, which is fine, so parties and social events have a really solid mix. The gym and workout rooms are phenominal, the design program is awesome, and I've been really pleased. People here are either really bizzare or normal, but in either case they're friendly enough. By no means is RIT a "party school," though. You will have to bust your ass to get work done, but when it comes down to it there are lots of pleasent people and things to do. Perhaps the computer science and engineering programs are the most depressing things on the planet, but speaking as a design student, I am enjoying my time here and don't regret my decision at all.
