My college education has been very important in providing the foundation for my job skills. The University of Houston has a much more mature undergraduate enrollment that is already plugged into the Houston work force. This enables the classes to engage in more relevant curricula. There is also a high degree of cooperation with local business and industry. I would say that UH is far above the norm in helping its students obtain a firm base for real life challenges and is not mired in myopic academia.
