Hi, I noticed you were a transfer student and I'm trying to reapply there in either the spring or this fall. My SAT scores from high school weren't super but my gpa was well within the range and my college gpa is too. I'm really nervous about not getting in though, do you have any suggestions? |
Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time)
As a transfer student there was no on campus housing available but it's not too hard to find housing in the village. The campus and town are within walking distance and it's a close knit community. There are buses that run through town and campus. The town has a hippie/artsy vibe with lots of low key bars, restaurants, trendy shops. The students are pretty friendly and down to earth. You don't feel like a number and the staff is supportive, but you do need to stay on top of things and advocate for yourself. The mountains are nearby and cool for hiking and climbing. I hope to go camping in the spring. Lots of tourists come on the weekends and when the weather is nice the town is packed. There isn't a lot of support for transfers but it's not too hard to make your way and meet people. The only down side I have encountered is that there are more drugs than I thought there would be but also a good amount of clean folks. It's just a matter of finding your niche.
