This school is not for everyone. Before you even apply, you have to ask yourself, do you want to truly learn for learning's sake or do you want to just land a job. If it's the latter then go elsewhere. It's tough here. Academics here are MIND BLOWING and at the same time intense. You can never BS your way through most classes here. The mathematics program for example teaches you Sigma notations, delta-epsilon proofs in all areas of Calculus which many institutions do not do. They simply want you to progress in your learning of different and many areas. Having said that, coming to Syracuse is basically signing up for a challenge. I often speak to my friends from back home and feel sorry for them. They're not being challenged enough & missing out on an excellent education. Those who were big fishes in small ponds most likely will experience a big change once they get to Syracuse. Academics are very very difficult but is worth it.
