If you want to just be a number then come to Syracuse. The whole school is dependent on Greek Life and if that's not for you then you will be looked down upon. Everything is incredibly exclusive and you are not welcomed by other students. The population tends to be wealthy kids who are used to getting what they want. Little to none diversity as everyone talks, dresses, and acts the same. Most kids are just average students while there are only few bright kids who actually value work. You are not encouraged to be an individual at Syracuse University, you are encouraged to blend in. And if you don't blend then be prepared for bullying and being excluded from many many activities.
