When I attended, UR was a great bargain, offering a very high quality "near Ivy" education at a reasonable price. Since I left, the administration has made decisions I question, but I think it's still a great school. Rochester is an incredible city with a wonderful history. It's big enough to have all the conveniences of a city, but not too big—even a country boy like me can come to love it. After I left UR, I lived there for a decade, and left reluctantly. The city's proud history includes a heritage of learning and advancement that rubs off on the University.
