Going to college and graduating from ANY college is helpful, especially in this day and age. I recommend that while in college, students do as many extracurricular activities as they can that are closest in relevance to what they want to do - whether it's an internship, freelance work, relevant club, plus, doing other cool activities that might not be relevant. All the skills that come from leading/running a group/club, doing some part-time work/internship/freelance work contribute to one's skills and make that person more marketable because they're well-rounded. Realize that you shouldn't kill yourself over grades, though of course it's important to do the best you can. A lot of people (including me) who may not have had the most stellar grades every single semester still have managed to learn a lot and retain that knowledge, are well-rounded, and get good jobs (in my case I got a job in my field, journalism, right away after college, which can be hard to do). You'll find that it's not about the grades after you're out of college looking for and getting a job - it's about your skills, your common sense, your ability to make decisions and how well you get along with people and your capacity to learn more and work as a team.
