Though the University attracts many gifted students and the workload is extremely challenging compared to what I've gathered many peer institutions require, it seems as though a Case education does not translate to a competitive advantage when it comes to the workplace.

Outside of Northeast Ohio, it seems as though Case has PR problem and is known to less engineering professionals than it should be.

Additionally, the academic rigor of the university seems more focused on pure book knowledge rather than creative collaborations. Though I did well at the university, I felt that I did so because I "played the game". In speaking with colleagues from other universities, it seems as though their programs included a great deal more projects, which look good on a resume and teach students to think critically. Perhaps the university's undergraduate approach makes for a better transition to graduate school, but I feel that the undergraduate education should better stand on its own.
