Major: Architecture (This Major's Salary over time)
For anyone looking to have a well rounded undergraduate experience I would consider Miami University. It is your typical college town with lots of college bars, resturants, and attractions. But it also the typical ammenties of any American town (Walmart, Krogers, fastfood resturants. Any preconceived notion you may have a about Miami are probably correct and incorrect at the same time. Yes there is a snootyness about the campus but there is also a more layed back atmosphere as well. What I am saying is that Miami can be what you want your college experience to be. If u dont like the snobs then dont become friends with them. There are 16,000 students to meet so it is not hard to find someone you can call a friend. I am an architecture student who had a great experience in the Western College Program. This in an interdisciplinary progrm, "make your own major", where first year architecture studnets are required to live with first year western college students. The sharing of perspectives over dinner or over laundry room chats made my freshman year and entire Miami experience unforgetable. My word of advice: Dont judge a book by its cover. dont believe Miami is either completely perfect or hopeless. Its in between. Visit Miami. Try it on. See if it fits.
