Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
You will already know before you get here whether you will like Miami University. In high school, if you were into football, drinking, cheerleading, cliques, and "jock culture" then you'll love it here. If you are liberal, over a size 2, or don't like living in small town then Miami is not the place for you. The academics are pretty good though. The student population is overall close-minded. I spent some time in "Western College" (the supposed liberal major at Miami) but students were just spouting forth random progressive b.s. that didn't mean anything to them but might please the teacher. If you want to go to a place where students really care about learning and not just partying, don't come here. In the end, I left Miami and transferred to a school in Chicago. I felt like while I was at Miami, I had never really left high school.
