I
loved OU! I believe all the positives of OU are
overshadowed by its reputation of being a party school (which
it is). But the community itself was great... easy access
to mountain biking, bouldering, hiking, and farmer's market. Its not
uncommon to see the frat/sorority type intermingling with the hippy/alternative
type a favorite coffee shop or bar. For the most
part, everyone co-exists peacefully.
On the education end of
things, there are numerous opportunities to become a well-rounded person
through research, study abroad, interaction with international students, and friendships
formed with professors. As with all things in life, college
will be what you make of it... but if you
are looking for a place to explore who you are
and what you want to become (and still come out
with a degree that will get you a job), then
I would highly recommend OU!
