This is where you learn to live with real people.  Students here have dreams, big dreams.  Some of my peers will go on to accomplish goals larger than life.  We had a noble prize winning alum just last year, and one esteemed alum donated over $100 million to the deparment of engineering my freshman year.  (No thats not a typo, it's the largest donation to a public university).  However, some people that get in here could apply themselves better but choose not to; but I've never met anyone here that shouldn't be in college.  It's up to you.

If it's up to you, why is this the place of all places to go?  Ohio University is college in it's purest form, in all its party school, late-night library study session, Saturday afternoon football, college Republicans/Democrats/protesters/outdoor clubs glory.  Ohio University has one of the most beautiful public school campuses in the nation and it is an hour and a half from the capital of Ohio.  This means it's the best kept secret in the Midwest.  No one comes here unless they're supposed to be here.  There's no traffic, you don't need a car.  There are no highschool kids, or even worse highschool dropouts cruising around campus.  You know the two homeless people by name because one's so good at piano and the other sucks at violin.  This campus belongs to the student like no other.  The recreation centers, library, sports complexes, classrooms, and housing are all within walking distance.  No shuttle buses needed.

Come visit, you'll fall in love.  Come to school here and it'll be the best money you've ever spent.
