Ohio Wesleyan is an intellectually challenging school. I always have some sort of work I have to do. I've never worked harder in my life- and mind you, I'm not stupid. I was the valedictorian of my high school class and have a 4.0 average here so far. That said, despite all the hard work, I would not want to be anywhere else. The people here really care about each other and are interested in each other's interests. There are so many extracurriculars, it is hard not to do so many they interfer with study time and the occasional relaxation. The dorms are decent- most of them have only 4 students to a bathroom. The buildings, except the amazing new science center and the huge campus center, are pretty old, but they simply add to OWU's historic appeal. Though people tend to get a little depressed here during the winter, fall and spring things are hopping with people running around everywhere playing frisbee, etc, and studying on blankets on the lawn.We currently do not have a very high retention rate, and I think this is probably because we do accept students that simply cannot handle the work load. So come here to work, play, and make friends that will last a lifetime.
